Hibiscus (Active ingredient)

Hibiscus
The red flowers of the Hibiscus possess draining and toning properties. We often find them in the composition of infusions intended to accompany a slimming diet by facilitating the natural elimination of waste. The dried flowers of Hibiscus are also used to prepare the ' carcadé ' (or karkadé). This very sweet red drink is particularly popular in Africa where we attribute it diuretic, sedative and hypotensives properties.
