Vitamin K Solgar

Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin that exists in two forms. Vitamin K1, found mainly in green vegetables, and vitamin K2 that is present in certain foods as a result of fermentation (eg cheese, miso ...). Vitamin K2 is also produced by certain bacteria of the human body in the colon.

Vitamin K is involved in the normal coagulation of blood and in the consolidation of bones. Some research suggests that vitamin K plays a role in the prevention of osteoporosis and may preserve bone density in postmenopausal women.
