Wolfberries (berries)
Mainly cultivated in China and in Mongolia,the wolfberries are red orange-colored and in a slightly lengthened form. Of soft-bitter aroma, they have been consumed and used in dried form for more than 3000 years in the Asian medicine. Often considered as "Great Fruit" in reference to their nutritional qualities, the wolfberries are rich in carotenoids, vitamin C, in amino acids, and is a source of antioxidants. They are traditionally used to strengthen the vitality. The Wolfberries can be added to a yoghurt, a fruit salad, a muesli or in a mix of other dried fruits for an healthy and gourmand snacking.
