Sow the seeds 0.5 cm deep every 5 cm or so. Space the rows 30 cm apart. Do not sow in times of drought to avoid rapid seed build-up. The emergence takes place in about 10 days. Keep the soil moist during cultivation. Harvest leaf by leaf after about a month and a half. Consume quickly after harvest (once cut, arugula does not keep for long).
