Antioxidant, Vitamin E is used to prevent the rancidity of homemade cosmetics.

Vitamin E: antioxidant & anti-rancidity


Vitamin E maintains the elasticity and hydration of the skin. Incorporated into a balm, a care butter, a care oil, it prolongs its life. In an emulsion, it avoids the rancidity of the oils.

Indication

Natural tocopherols from sunflower.
Equivalence: 1 ml = 0.95 g.

Use

Add vitamin E in the oily phase (tocopherol is not soluble in water) of your homemade preparations at:
  • 0.02% to 0.2% of the total weight of the preparation for antioxidant use,
  • 0.1% to 0.5% of the total weight of the preparation as active.
Wait until the preparation has dropped to about 40 ° C before incorporating vitamin E.
