Urucum (Active ingredient)

Very rich in beta-carotene, the urucum is a shrub originating in South America. Also called roucou or rocouyer, it prepares the skin with bronzing and gives good mine. Its high content in trace elements (selenium, zinc, copper and magnesium) makes of it an antioxydant of choice, useful to fight against the effect of the radicals.
