The phycocyanin of Phycosan Flamant Vert is extracted from Spirulina, the blue algae of the Andes. Phycocyanin is a blue pigmented protein involved in photosynthesis of spirulina , it is the phytonutrient that gives color to the family of blue algae.
Phycosan is a spirulina liquid extract rich in iron and vitamin B12 .
