This tree, which can be found in Madagascar, Australia or New Caledonia, provides an essential oil with a complex structure, used for a very long time in aromatherapy.

As in the case of eucalyptus globulus, it is important to be attentive to its aroma: intense, complex, camphorated, sulfurous. Some batches have a subtle aroma, consistent with the complexity of niaouli. Others, on the other hand, reveal a sulfur aspect that is really excessive and uninviting at first glance.

The advice of the Aromatherapist André Bitsas ( Aromatherapy Body and Souls, Amyris Editions, page 70):
" The essential oil of Niaouli is antibacterial and antiviral.It is traditionally used at the respiratory level: it is an excellent anti-flu. "
" HE also shows its antibacterial and antiviral efficacy at the genitourinary level. "
" The essential oil of Niaouli is also a venous decongestant , which will inevitably be found in a host of recipes for external use targeted on poor venous return, heavy legs, varicose veins. "

Dosage

  • Outerway: 4 drops of niaouli essential oil in local frictions, 3 times a day, for all indications cited.

Trick

  • 1 drop of essential oil of niaouli in your night cream will be enough to make you benefit from its skin tonic action.
  • Cold sore : mix equally essential oils of niaouli and ravintsara . Apply a drop of the mixture, 3 times a day, as long as necessary.
