Guarana (Active ingredient)

The Guarana (or 'Warana') is an extract obtained from ground seeds of the fruit of Paullinia cupana, a climbing plant in the Amazon. The Guarana contains guaranine, a substance similar to caffeine, but that has the particularity to be absorbed more slowly by the body. The stimulating effect of Guarana is longer and more regular than the effect of the caffeine. The Guarana is used as a food supplement with toning properties for the body and the mind.
