Horse milk is similar to human milk. It is traditionally used in addition to or instead of other milks. It is also used as a cure at 1 drink per day for 4 to 6 weeks several times a year.

The mare milk powder Chevalait was obtained by atomization. It can be mixed directly with foods (stewed fruits, cereals, soups, ...), or mixed with water and used as fresh milk.
