Do you know that contact with water, some seeds (basil, camelina, chia, cress ...) develop a gelatinous substance called "mucilage"?
These seeds can not germinate in conventional hotbeds. They must be sown flat in a germination dish.
Aesthetic and durable, glazed stoneware cup Germline allows you to get great results.
It comes with a removable plastic grid (guaranteed without phthalates or bisphneol A) has two lugs which make for easy handling.

Indication

Indicative germination time:
  • - Basil: 18 to 20 days
  • - Camelina: 7 to 9 days
  • - Chia 7 to 9 days
  • - Watercress: 10 to 12 days
  • - Lin: 7 to 9 days
  • - Mustard: 6 to 8 days
  • - Perilla: 8 to 10 days
  • - Roquette: 9 to 11 days

Tips

  • Be patient: sprouting and greening seed mucilage require more than 7 days at a minimum.
  • Harvest your seedlings by cutting them with scissors at their base. When the whole grid is harvested, throw carpet seeds and roots in the trash.

Use

  • Soak 1 teaspoon of seeds in a glass of water for 15 minutes.
  • Spread seeds in a thin layer so as to completely cover the grid while minimizing the seeds are superimposed.
  • Fill the cup with water to 4-5 mm from the edge and remove the grid so that it floats.
  • Moisten the seeds once a day using a fogger nozzle.
  • Think renew the water of the cup as soon as it takes a light brown (about every 2 days).

Personnellement, je trouve que ces coupelles sont certes jolies mais pas pratiques. Très déçue du résultat. L'eau doit être changée plusieurs fois par jour. sinon elle dégage une certaine odeur. Beaucoup de graines sont coincées dans la grille et ne germent pas ce qui dégage encore une odeur et est source de gaspillage. J'ai acheté 3 coupelles, essai sur 15 jours mais toujours pareil quelle que soit la quantité de graines et la variété : cresson ou roquette.
