Wintergreen scented - Gaultheria fragrantissima - is native to Asia, including Nepal, where she likes to higher altitudes.

Properties

The essential oil is Bioflore antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-rheumatic.
It relieves joint inflammations such as arthritis or tendinitis.
It soothes muscle cramps.
It is frequently associated with the eucalyptus citriodora externally.
It is also hypotensive.
The aroma of wintergreen is hot, deep, evocative of embrocation, tar. This is a good cordial, in both senses, able to warm the body and soul.
