Spearmint: soothing essential oil


The essential oil of spearmint Bioflore contains many carvone, ketone. It has an original personality not devoid of interest and a recognizable smell of all: that of chewing gum to chlorophyll.

Indication

  • Botanical family Lamiaceae or Labiatae
  • Latin name: Mentha viridis
  • Essential oil obtained by distillation of the flowering plant
  • Grass nature

Properties

The essential oil of spearmint:
  • Promotes digestion (it has the same ingredient as dominant dill or caraway).
  • Is anti-catarrhal and mucolytic.
  • Helps clear clogged airways.
  • Possess calming properties in the cerebellum and medulla (as P. Franchomme).
  • Is astringent.
  • Helps healing.
  • Is an excellent tensor.

Use

This essential oil is used:
  • Culinary aromatherapy
  • In cosmetics aromatherapy
  • Broadcast (still small part because it qualifies for the masking agent, that is to say, it will reduce or mask the smell of your base composition)

Trick

  • Use spearmint to flavor chocolate.
  • Combine the sweet mint with cedar atlas, in regressing lipomas and fatty cysts.

  • Not recommended for pregnant and lactating women and persons suffering from nervous diseases.
