The pure and natural essential oil of Amyris (or Sandalwood) is characterized by a high viscosity. It is used in cooking, diluted in a fatty substance.

Amyris essential oil or Indian Sandalwood

Amyris essential oil is used as a food flavor.
Amyris is a small tree that is commonly found in the Caribbean and the West Indies and is also called "Candlewood" or "Indian Sandalwood".

Part used: wood.
Culture: wild.
Method of production: steam distillation at low pressure.

Use

Dilute the essential oil of Amyris in a fatty substance (butter, oil ...) at the rate of 1 drop for the equivalent of 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil. Then add to a dish.

Trick

Amyris is a high viscosity oil. It is advisable to heat the product in a water bath to make it more fluid or to remove the dropper capsule in order to take the oil using a spatula if necessary.

Do not use in children under 7 years old and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
