Aloe arborescens
Aloe arborescens is a variety of aloe which can reach 2 or 3 meters of high. It is traditionally used in the same way as the Aloe vera, for its juice and its jelly (the pulp of leaves), but the harvest do not begin before the third year of culture. Aloe arborescens has the same properties as the Aloe vera but it is less known because its leaves contain less pulp and this one is less easy to separate from the bark. The jelly of Aloe arborescens is used for the skincare. After the Second World War, the jelly of Aloe arborescens was used to handle the burns of the victims of Hiroshima, which contributed to the reputation of big efficiency of the plant.
