Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxydant which fights the free radicals, thus contributing to the youth of the skin. The body naturally produces alpha-lipoic acid (or ALA) but in small quantity. This sulfur acid is present in all the cells of the body and has the characteristic to be at the same time soluble in the water (hydrosoluble) and in the fats (liposoluble), what allows him a wider scope for action.
