Soft wood from the heart of the tree and the bark, sapwood is mainly used as a draining decoction. The sapwood of lime is a detox ally which it is recommended to make cures 2 or 3 times a year.

Use
- Infusion : infuse 3 to 5 g of lime sapwood in 1/2 liter of water for about 10 minutes.
- Decoction : 5 to 8 g of lime sapwood per 1/2 liter of water, to be kept at the boil for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Maceration (external use): put 5 to 8 g of plants in 1/2 liter of water and keep at the boil for 15 minutes. Leave to stand for 4 to 5 hours in the same water then filter.
