Germination dish for home mini-culture
Do you know that, when in contact with water, certain seeds (basil, camelina, chia, watercress ...) develop a gelatinous substance called "mucilage"?
These seeds can not germinate in conventional germiners. They must be sown flat in a germinating dish.
Aesthetic and resistant, the enameled stoneware cup Germline allows you to obtain excellent results.
It comes with a removable plastic grid (guaranteed phthalate free or bisphneol A) with two pins that make it easier to handle.
Indication
Indicative times of germination:
- Basil: 18 to 20 days
- Cameline: 7 to 9 days
- Chia: 7 to 9 days
- Watercress: 10 to 12 days
- Linen: 7 to 9 days
- Mustard: 6 to 8 days
- Perilla: 8 to 10 days
- Roquette: 9 to 11 days
Trick
- Be patient: germination and greening of the mucilage seeds require at least 7 days.
- Harvest your young shoots by cutting them with scissors at their base. When the entire grid is harvested, throw the seedbed and roots in the trash.
use
- Soak 1 teaspoon of seeds in a glass of water for 15 minutes.
- Spread the seeds in a thin layer so as to completely cover the grid, avoiding as much as the seeds are superimposed.
- Fill the dish with water up to 4-5 mm from the edge and remove the grill so that it floats.
- Moisten the seeds once a day with a spray gun.
- Remember to renew the cup water as soon as it turns a light brown color (about every 2 days).
