The essential oil extracted from the fruits (or "seeds") of caraway consists of a large quantity of aldehydes.
properties
Its basic property is identical to that of other umbelliferous essential oils (dill, caraway, coriander, fennel): it is an aperitif and stimulates digestion. A difference in size with the latter: the essential oil of cumin is soothing and even sedative.
virtues
The main aroma of Cumin is very powerful and comes from the spice of the same name. Its intensity limits its use.
Trick
To digest and sleep well, add a few drops of Cumin essential oil in the cooking juices of your couscous, at the end of preparation. Better yet, add 1 or 2 drops in a mashed chickpeas, taste compatibility is perfect.
